The section has been home to a number of champions including current chairman Peter Wright AOM (Hans Ebeling award recipient and World Masters Champion) and Eric Beissel (Hans Ebeling award recipient), as well as current professional squash players Rex Hedrick and Zac Alexander, who recently represented Australia at the Commonwealth games and Paul Price who was the coach of the Australian team at the Commonwealth Games.
Annual DinnerEvery year the Squash Section holds its annual dinner in the MCG’s Members Dining Room with a fantastic turn out of members, players, family and friends. Each year surpasses the previous in quality food and entertainment.
ChampionshipsThe section conducts two annual championships: MCC Squash Section Championships, which are open to all financial members of the Squash Section and are played in January each year before the commencement of the Autumn Pennant season; and the MCC Members Championships which are open to all MCC members. It is not necessary to be a member of the Squash Section. These championships are played in July, before the commencement of the Spring Pennant season.
MS 24 Hour Mega Squash FundraiserEach year the Squash Section enters a team into the Mega Squash and Racquetball fundraiser event at MSAC to support people living with MS.
